Caregiver Internship
The position is called an ‘All Purpose Volunteer’ at Casa Zoe or Casa Spates. This position embodies a comprehensive commitment to the well-being and development of the girls. This dynamic role involves being a multifaceted figure, from creating devotionals to accompanying them in all daily activities. As a volunteer, full commitment is expected throughout the schedule, working hand in hand with the staff to provide emotional and logistical support. This role includes following the instructions of the staff caregivers, ensuring a harmonious and collaborative environment. The ‘All Purpose Volunteer’ plays an essential role in contributing to the creation of an enriching and supportive environment for the girls, fostering their overall growth and well-being.
Requirements:
- Medium comprehensions of the Spanish language.
- Basic knowledge in the fields of psychology, caretaking, and or education.
- Flexibility and a desire to better the world through a Christ centered environment.
Early Childhood Development
The “Baby Caregiver” position in our foundation plays a crucial role in ensuring the care and well-being of our users’ babies during their medical visits or participation in workshops. This role involves loving and dedicated care, ensuring a safe and affectionate environment for the little ones while their mothers actively participate in the programs and services offered by the foundation.
Requirements:
- Medium comprehensions of the Spanish language.
- Basic knowledge in the fields of early childhood development, caretaking, and human services.
- Flexibility and a desire to better the world through a Christ centered environment.
English Teacher
The “English as a Second Language” project emerges as a catalyst for change in Dunamis Foundation’s girls as well as the rural communities of northwest Quito, focused on empowering its users through the teaching of the English language. Recognizing the crucial importance of English in today’s workplace, this project seeks to provide transformative opportunities to those who might otherwise face limitations. By providing access to quality education in English, we aim to open doors to new career opportunities, empowering participants to compete in an increasingly globalized labor market. This approach not only seeks to improve economic prospects, but also strengthen cultural connection and exchange, building bridges to a more promising and equitable future for these rural communities.
Requirements
- Medium to advance knowledge of the Spanish language.
- Teaching or tutoring experience.
- Cultural Sensitivity
- The ability to work with individuals across different age ranges, from 5 to 25 years old.
- Flexibility and desire to better the world through a Christ centered environment.
Sports Coach
“Faith in Sports” is an innovative project that seeks to offer low-income youth the opportunity to explore sports such as baseball and American football. With a comprehensive Christian approach, the project goes beyond sports teaching, incorporating solid values and specialized mentors in both facets. Through inclusive access, sports variety, and a commitment to personal and community development, Faith in Sports creates not only athletes, but well-rounded and resilient individuals, prepared to face life’s challenges with confidence and compassion.
Requirements:
- Spanish Level: Medium
- Passion for Sports: A genuine interest and enthusiasm for soccer, baseball, American football, and the positive impact of sports on youth development.
- Alignment with Christian Values: A commitment to uphold and integrate Christian principles and values in the project’s approach and interactions with participants.
- Experience in Sports or Coaching: Prior experience in playing, coaching, or organizing sports activities, particularly baseball and/or American football, would be beneficial.
- Mentoring or Youth Development Experience: Experience working with youth, mentoring, or facilitating personal and community development programs.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Inclusivity: An understanding and respect for diverse backgrounds, particularly those of low-income youth, and a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with youth, mentors, and other volunteers to foster positive relationships and teamwork.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: The ability to adapt to changing situations, adjust coaching techniques as needed, and be flexible in scheduling and program implementation.
Coffee Shop Administrator (TAKEN)
The Freedom Café Administrator position is a unique opportunity that requires a 6-month commitment to lead this project at the heart of our foundation. The role involves not only the efficient management of the coffee shop, but also looking after the interests and well-being of the girls who work in this space.

- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, providing guidance, support, and motivation to both staff and volunteers.
- Organizational and Management Skills: Strong organizational skills to efficiently oversee the day-to-day operations of the coffee shop, including inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact professionally and compassionately with the girls working in the café, as well as with customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Empathy and Sensitivity: A genuine concern for the well-being and development of the girls, demonstrating empathy, understanding, and sensitivity to their individual needs and challenges.
- Commitment to the Mission: Alignment with the foundation’s mission and values, with a specific focus on empowering and supporting the girls through meaningful employment opportunities.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills: Ability to identify issues, implement effective solutions, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Cultural Competency: Understanding and appreciation of diverse backgrounds and cultures, particularly those of the girls working in the café, to foster an inclusive and respectful workplace.

Marketing and Fundraising
The Marketing Intern position at our foundation offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about creating positive impact. This role involves the conception and execution of strategic campaigns for fundraising, brand promotion and improvement of the Foundation’s image. We are looking for someone with experience creating impactful visual content, including videos, and solid social media skills. The Marketing Intern will play a key role in spreading our message, building strong relationships with the community, and contributing to the sustainable growth of the Foundation.

The Ecuadorian Coast
Known for its hot beaches and its delicious cuisine. You can get to know Puerto López and see the humpback whales up close or visit Montañita and surf with the best surfers. You can also get to know Esmeraldas with its delicious food, or the beautiful and paradisiacal Los Frailes Beach located in the Machalilla National Park.
The Ecuadorian Andean Region
If your passion is hiking, climbing, or conquering the most beautiful mountains and peaks in the world, then the Ecuadorian mountains are your place. Here you can get to know the indigenous culture in a better way. You will visit Otavalo, a city that has one of the largest artisan markets in the world. In Latacunga, you can climb Cotopaxi and in Riobamba, you can climb Chimborazo, the closest point to the sun.
You will also live in Quito, where the best-preserved historic center in Latin America and the Middle of the World are located. You will get to know Cuenca, considered the Athens of South America and home to many expatriates from the US and Europe.
The Amazon
If your passion is nature, the Ecuadorian Amazon will surprise you. Rafting and kayaking, riding a bike, walking for hours on mysterious trails, climbing slopes, or rappelling them, exploring caves or being free jumping from a bridge, are some of the adventures with which the Ecuadorian jungle welcomes tourists. The Amazon region offers canoe rides, adventure activities, flora and fauna observation, as well as the possibility of knowing the culture and customs of the Kichwa, Waorani, Shuar, Cofán nationalities, among others.
With our internship and volunteer program, you will partake in an unforgettable experience where you can live with an Ecuadorian host family and learn more about our country and culture. The minimum time for our internship program is 2 months, and the maximum time is 6 months. In this time you can travel through Ecuador immersing yourself in the beauties of our country and its people. Whether you want to experience the abundant ecosystems of the amazon rainforests, the staggering heights of the Andes Mountains and its numerous volcanoes, the historic architecture of our cities, or the breathtaking views from our beaches, Ecuador has something for everyone. Through our programs you will be a direct link in the fight on human trafficking and an extension of the love of God.
