Two minors ages 14 and 16 were rescued last Friday in Loja, Ecuador. The victims were abused and used for the purpose of sexual exploitation by an international organization, the link between the girls and the organization was their father who sold them and promoted the abuse. The mother of the two survivors was rescued as well by the police since investigations suggest that she was also a victim of abuse. Along with the father other five people were arrested, one of them was a minor involved with this organization and a person from Peru.
Studies have found that 90% of the victims of sexual exploitation and abuse are women. We ask you to join in prayer for these two brave survivors and all the unknown victims of sexual exploitation and abuse, for the women who were brave enough to report their victimizer and the ones who are struggling with forgiveness, so that God can restore their hearts.
