Eritrea, a country with an approximate of 6 million inhabitants, where the majority of its people profess Christianity. According to UNHCR data, in 2017, across the European Union there were 25,115 Eritrean asylum requests, this is due to the corruption and abandonment of their government, during the journey to “freedom”, many of the inhabitants of Eritrea suffer abuse and even human trafficking. These trafficking networks kidnap these people to ask for ransoms that can reach the sum of $ 10,000, not counting payments to border officials and others involved in this crime. It is calculated that since before 2020 the number of kidnapped victims has reached more than 30,000 people, who were held in some 200 clandestine prisons. On the other hand, since 2010, there is a network in Ethiopia, a country from which Eritrea became independent, which is in charge of deceiving 13 and 14-year-old children with false promises of work, all this under the eyes of the authorities.

These are some of the examples that happen daily in the world. We ask you to join this chain of prayer for the people of Eritrea, as we mentioned, at least 60% of its population believes in our Lord, let us not abandon our brothers. Let us pray for the families, the boys and girls of Eritrea, so that God may give strength and healing to this country.
