The last few weeks the beautiful girls of Dunamis have been creating faldas ( skirts) during their professional sewing workshop. I have enjoyed watching this process unfold as it takes much patience. I am proud of how the girls work together and lend a helping hand to one another as they learn, together, how to sew. Often times, by the evil that has been inflicted upon them, the girls have not had an opportunity to learn a skill such as sewing, and to work together with others in harmony. To have the freedom to create and learn without fear of making a mistake or the anxiety being harmed is something that I, in my privileged and blessed life, have overlooked. The Lord is teaching me, that everything that Dunamis provides for these young girls( by the provision and strength of God ) is a way to restore, build up, and empower these girls to walk again on their own and, by the Grace of God, to leave Dunamis each day knowing that their Father in heaven wants to give them abundantly more than all they can ask or even imagine. That learning in freedom, without fear, is just a small taste of the freedom they can and will only experience in Christ. “With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2 MSG
