As part of our efforts to become a self-sustaining Institution we have started the project “Let’s plant a garden”. This will be located within the property where “Dunamis” operates.
The project has several objectives:
1. Provide a therapy space for the young inmates who will take care of a section of the garden.
2. Generate organic foods that within the Institution can be consumed and are part of the diet of the girls of Casa Zoe.
3. Produce a surplus that generates an income.
4. Finally this would be the first step towards the creation of an integral farm in which there is a production of food for the animals.
At the moment the garden already has a fence, for the protection of animals, the beds have been built, the land has been fertilized and we are in the phase of creating a compost bin and a seedbed.
